On last Friday, an explosion occurred in a house in Bureij (a refugee camp in Gaza).
An absurd thing has happened- no one really knows what caused this explosion. A member of the Islamic jihad has died and some members of his family and neighbors.
The 'Almizan' centre - said that there is no proof that Israel is responsible , on the other hand, Khaled Albatsh, from the jihad party has declared that Israel is the only one to blame.

Soon a fight in the media between these two sides began. I guess that no one can really say the truth about this sad incident so no one can really tell the cause of this explosion.

I surely wonder, if the jihad party is the one that can tell the objective truth in this case, because it is not the first time that such an explosion occurs in buildings in Gaza because of explosives hidden inside them.

But…My biggest problem in this incident is why the 'Almizan' centre is dealing with issues such as this one. Aren't they supposed to be dealing with much more important issues??
People have no food on their tables, and not even electricity on daily basis.
There are much important issues to deal with in Gaza! Please help our children and brothers out there!

I really hope that every humanitarian institute in Gaza is making the biggest efforts in order to make every child in Gaza healthy and not hungry.

What a week!

Some interesting days in ramallah!

It started few days ago, while the snow came to visit ramallah. It was a superb experience for the young kids here.

These kids haven't got so many options for enjoying their selves and having some good time.

Watching the snow going down was a spectacular scene- just after few hours, all of ramallah was filled with white snow! What a nice view. The roads and pavements were all full of snow!

After this experience, a bad one has occurred..

Israel decided to kill almost 10 people in Gaza. Most of them were innocent. People say it was an answer for the suicide bomb that occurred in Israel few hours before that. I wonder what these innocent people in Gaza had to do with the bomb?! Why should they suffer? The life in Gaza is not easy anyway, so making it even harder is a death punish for some people.

Another interesting thing was the breaking of the wall between Gaza and rafah. What an event. Hamas had an idea, (a crazy one, for the matter of fact..), and they did all they can in order to bring it to reality. Good to know that someone cares about the lack of food in Gaza. I wonder if there is a way to keep the borders open all year long?

Israel has closed the border since Hamas got to role the strip, and that is the situation these days.

I really hope that the border will stay open as long as possible,

Sounds of (weak) diplomacy

Bush left,

Kondolisa left,

All the fuss and noise about this "very historic" visit disappeared.
Just as bush and "kondi" left..

Last week, all major T.V channels sent crews and journalists to ramallah.
Suddenly, I could almost think that ramallah is the center of the world..

But just a few moments after these fine "leaders" left ramallah, all the glamour of this visit has absolutely vanished..!!

Suddenly, life got back to normal,

And the peace process took a step backwards..

After hearing from my brothers about what is going on in Gaza, I'm sure that we are heading into dark days, very dark!

Just a few days after the visit, and Israel begun her killings again, but this time- stronger and harder.

I really hope that we are not just a moment from a big war in Gaza.

Hang on, dear brothers!!

Bush in Palestine!?

10 January, maybe an historic date?

All the streets of Ramallah are empty and one can see only policemen and members of the security forces.

To those of you who are not very familiar.. Today, the US president is visiting my town, ramallah.

Who thought that the United States president will ever visit Palestine? And especially ramallah?!

But for the matter of truth, I'm not quite sure what to think about it..

On one hand, I have no respect for him!! He caused only trouble for my friends and myself, he did no good for Palestine, why should we honor his visit in Palestine?

But on the other hand, if there is someone who can help our nation, and save us from Israel, let him try.

We all want a solution, and bringing our brothers back from the Israeli prison.

Maybe bush will rescue us from Israel, and its brutality, but far more important, is rescuing us from the brutal Hamas. They have caused us so much damage in the last year or so! Hamas has destroyed Palestine.

Today Ramallah looks like a deserted town because the "sheriff" is coming. What will happen in the dual nobody knows, but we can all hope that the end will be a happy one for us.

Happy days in ramallah,

I have no reasons to smile, but surprise!
I am.
And that’s because Eid aladha has finished.
I enjoyed spending time with my family.
Not too often that we all sit as family, and just speak, I really missed speaking with my father. This holiday was an important one for me. Probably this eid aladha wasn’t a very happy one for my brothers in Gaza. Maybe next year they will be able to exit Gaza, and come to ramallah? and enjoy a calm holiday?
Lets just all hope for that!

My life is continuing quite normal, and that’s good for me, because I don’t really like changes. But maybe I should make a small change in my life?
And I mean, finding a job..

It's really nice and easy working and helping my father. But all year long?
Not always the easy thing is the right move to make, isn’t it?

That’s a hard decision, but I could not work in the family store for life, I need to expand my knowledge, and my abilities! And how can I improve when I'm working with my father?
Maybe I should open my own company? Maybe even a store? Maybe I will be able to sell the thing that I like most! Cameras and photography equipment.
This will probably give me joy, and who knows? Maybe even a good income. And finally I will be able to help my parents and brothers? Maybe it will help my father, and he won't feel much pressure at his store, in order to support the whole family.

I will think about it,
I have few months to make a decision (I still work with my father!)

Eid aladha

Eid aladha,

This week eid aladha is being celebrated in Palestine and all over the mislim world. It is a great thing that sometimes we have reasons to celebrate, even in Palestine..

Millions of people are making the HAJ the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. I really hope that I will also be able to visit Mecca, maybe even next year? Who knows?!

Maybe exiting Palestine will become easier next year? And even cheaper?And then next year I will be able to be a "haj"?

inshallah I say!

This is the CAABA, in Mecca. It is full of people these days, which are fulfilling their Islamic obligation.

These are happy kids, who are celebrating the holiday, these kids live in Bagdad. Nice to see that even these children can be happy and can even celebrate.

LIVING IN GAZA?

Today, I was walking in the streets of ramallah.
It was a sunny day, with no rain, people were walking and shopping along ramallah.
The scene was so peaceful and calm.
People were smiling happily, I have had time to visit my father at our store.
His days are also better and easier. Things are getting really better in our store, people are buying goods, and my family can be calm as far as our financial condition.
I'm so happy that things are starting to get on track for us.
As for my brothers in Gaza, I am much more worried about them.
While my conditions are getting better, theirs is getting worse and worse. What can we do to help them?
I wish I could have help them defeating Hamas government.
But how can I even help, if they can't even help themselves?
Everyone in Gaza is so afraid of Hamas, that they can't even feel free to speak and say a word against the brutal government. What other options do my brothers have?

I wish they could have come to ramallah, and work like us, and have better conditions.

429 palestines got free!

429 got their lives back.
429 families can start living again.
After our most beloved and brave people have been captured by the Israelis, long ago, we can finally relax.
I have heard abu mazen saying that he is looking forward for more and more positive steps from Israel.
I truly am looking forward for the moment that all our families will be reunited! And that thousands of families will be able to begin smiling again.

Let's just hope that a moment such as this will occur soon, And that we shall not see any similar pictures to those we all have seen today in Gaza.
Watching crying children always makes me sad for what have we became, how did we get so low?
So low that we need the mercy of the world just to be able to live and eat.
Our brothers in Gaza are not able to leave the strip, therefore, we are still far away from a solution.
I do give a chance for the peace conventions, first in Annapolis, and after in paris,
But please! Make us see some changes, like I have seen this week when the prisoners got back!

So close, but yet.. so far?

Annapolis summit ended, but yet, no real changes are to be seen here in Palestine...
Is Bush really believes that this illusion summit can solve the occupation problem??

The summit can really solve all our problems with the ISRAELIES?!
IT IS REALLY STUPID TO THINK THAT THEY REALLY BELIEVE THAT ANNAPOLIS CAN SOLVE THE PALESTINIAN PROBLEM!

Is it because everyone thinks that it is better not having this pathetic summit?
Is there someone who thinks that the summit is an option for a real agreement?
Or is it just a way to please the Americans? What do they even know about us and about the occupation???

Do they even care that we live THE WAY WE DO HERE?
Why should I believe that suddenly they care about Palestine?
Its only interests!!

Since when Hamas has the power to arrange a meeting?

Since when Hamas has become a party that can decide things?

A party that can discuss our problems and solve them? For me it looks so funny and absurd to see that they are trying to make a meeting (with themselves only.. just notice),

I think that Gaza has changed so much, that the chance for scenes such as these to happen again is close and real.

Does Gaza children have no rights? No one is happy to see children cry, and still, it happens on daily basis in Gaza.

Annapolis=peace?!

The convention in Annapolis is a great opportunity for Hamas to give up their power in Gaza, maybe it is time for us to be strong and say no to Hamas??

Is it time for Palestine to be free and not under any sieges!?!?
I truly feel that Hamas by being the leader in Gaza is causing much more damage for us then bringing the good life we always wanted.

I wonder why Hamas isn’t finishing this absurd episode.. This is absolutely insane that the citizens of Gaza are under Israeli siege for so much time! So they can't even sell their goods overseas, or even get nitrogen gas for surgeries, as it was published 2 days ago.. So what about the sick kids? Are they supposed to wait for the siege to end? I wonder how many people have died because of Hamas stupid strategy. Isn’t the good of the citizens is the most important thing for a government?
Not by Hamas……

The citizen become useless, with no other options.. It's sad to think that not long ago Gaza could sell their goods overseas (like strawberries for example!) to the world, and that the people could have gone in and out of Gaza! Just few months ago are separating between that life and the current life!

I'm glad that there Is an option to improve our current situation,
But lets just give it a chance, and not blow the opportunity. I just hope that Hamas and Israel will not find a way how to do so.

Yes! I'm healthy and I'm back

Here I am, back to life.
I hate being sick, but probably there is no way to get better fasterIn the past 2 weeks, I've been spending most of the time in bad with high fever and ongoing aches. The doctors couldn't explain what was wrong with me and my parents even thought of taking me to a hospital in alquds. But then after taking some medicine that my grandmother gave me (I think it was made of pure olive oil and some other secret ingredients) I' ve started feeling better and it was a day before the holiday.So to all of you, I send my best wishes.
I have learned that in life there are always ups and downs, hopes and disappointments, successes and failures. It is part of the game I guess..

The Holidays are over, so soon university is back into my life. The holiday filled me with hopes, it feels as if the holiday has calmed people a bit. The streets seemed to be much quieter, and it really helps me feel that maybe I should continue waiting, and hoping for better days to come.

I have heard that there is a chance that Hamas will give up their rule in Gaza, but I think that there is no chance that Hamas will concede their power and just let go for the sake of the citizens. As I see it Hamas is in a bad situation with not many options.. Sometimes too much power can cause too much chaos..i just hope that we and our leadership will be strong enough in keeping hamas out of the west bank. If not only god will be able to help us!!!!

Lets just hope that I'll continue feeling better, and that the peace in the streets will remain,

Ramdan continues

Ramadan month continues, I have more time to spend helping my family, and spending time with them.
I guess its good for me, but also for them.

Most mornings I'm helping my father in our store. He surely needs my help. His health is not as good as it was before.

I think that this is a result of the past two years…my father nearly closed his shop because of the hard days- People could not afford buying things at the store because many people in ramallah are not working or didn't get any salaries , so they have no money, and when people have no money they cannot spend it...

My father decided to continue working, and keep the store alive. It made me happy, because I know how much he likes his store, sometimes I feel that the store is all his life. And that's the reason why I'm helping him.

I'm glad that I'm free at the mornings to help him, and I'm sure he will be able to continue working at the store in the future.

These days, I have much free time, because studies have not begun yet, but I know that soon I will be busy with university again.

I'm truly looking for my next year.

Only good things can come out of this year.

Some Thoughts about the Ramadan

Ramadan has started And it made me wonder, not being allowed to eat most of the day for a month is quite a big thing to do.It shows a lot of strength and power, it is not so easy as people might think, and don't get me wrong.. Ramadan is a spiritual month, and the hardest part is mainly in the head rather than the stomach..The interesting and the sad thing is that if we are so strong (and we are!), how come we can't even save ourselves from..Ourselves??How come we are killing each other and widening the gap everyday, if we are so spiritually strong? How can one grasp such a thing ?

I would like to think, that people who have strong will and faith, will not kill their brothers, but in Palestine it's not a guarantee… I think I might keep on wondering about that, because no real solution was yet found… lets hope that Palestine will be more tolerate, and
peaceful for it's citizens.We must all remember that THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN is a month of forgiving each other and of togetherness!!!!

Dear friends!
Soon Palestine and the whole Islamic world will enter the holy month of Ramadan.
Here in our city and as some friends told me there is a feeling that this Ramadan will be a bit different from the Ramadan we had last year when most of the Palestinian didn't get any salaries and therefore the shops were empty and one could see most of the children with gloomy faces. This is the situation in Ramallah but….
Many Palestinian kids, especially in Gaza, are "celebrating" Ramadan fast almost everyday, despite the fact that Ramadan is only a one month in the calendar. These kids, sometimes have no food, so they can almost feel as if Ramadan is being "celebrated" the whole year.
I really hope that next Ramadan, I will witness a different kind of Palestine, a new Palestine that is not suffering of any poverty or shortage, a new Palestine that is united once again and not ruled by Hamas cruel people and by the Israeli occupation.

A free clean and pure Palestine.

WHO STOLE THE LIGHT?!

I was quite busy in the last few weeks because I was helping my father in our store and luckily for us we had quite a lot of buyers. Nevertheless I had some time to spend with my younger brothers and sisters and I took them to a fair that came to Ramallah ,and the kids and families enjoyed every minute of it. During this time a friend of mine from GAZA spent most of his nights in darkness.
I don't know if you heard but in almost every part of Gaza the light and electricity went out for about a week.
No, no one has stole the electricity, just 'Hamas beloved government' made sure that her citizens will suffer from lack of electricity...
Doesn't Hamas feel sorry for them?
Do they even care about them?

My friend has drawn a cartoon asking if there is really a light in the end of the tunnel.

Eventually something happy has happened to me. Well, not exactly to me, but actually to my brother.The metric exams (altawgi'hi -as we say) have finished, and the results of the exams have arrived a few days ago. I was so proud at him!My brother has really got good grades in all of his subjects!! I Wonder, in his age, Is it possible to act like an adult, and finish these exams while Palestine is at "war"? I feel it is very hard to learn at the university while the non-stopping fights between Hamas and her fatah are still occurring inside and outside the universities.

Unfortunately, Palestinian students are not really enjoying the easy life- they do not have the ideal terms of learning. And however, many students have received very good grades at these metric exams! I am very proud to know that hundreds of "new" graduates, who finished school few days ago, will become the new generation of students in the universities!

My brother has really succeeded, and he really impressed me and our parents.I would like to wish him luck, and invite him, and the other graduates to join universities and expand their knowledge.

We all have to remember that education is the keystone which will help our society to develop and help us as a nation to become stronger and maybe have a better future!!!

Who stole my newspaper?!

Sounds funny, isn’t it?

No, it's not a beginning of a joke.
It’s the new restriction of the Hamas party in Gaza.

The Hamas forces have banned the distribution of the 3 main Palestinian newspapers (al-ayyam, alhayat-aljadida, alquds).

It really seems as if Hamas has lost it…

It looks as if HAMAS is doing everything they can in order to hide the truth from the people in GAZA. They promised us freedom and what we are getting is a dark regime (which is getting darker every passing day).

Let's just hope that Hamas will calm down as quickly as possible.

When things at the university goes wrong…

Last week, on Tuesday, the 24th of July, An-najah university (in Nablus) witnessed the ugly side of Palestine..

For those who missed the action:

On Tuesday a violent confrontation took place at the University. Many students got injured, and one of the students has died as I have heard as a result of this "war".
I even heard from a friend of mine that people were shooting inside the campus! Isn't it insane? Even the university is being used for these unnecessary deaths.
I wonder if there is even one place left in Palestine that hasn’t been violated by Hamas supporters.
The An-najah board has decided to suspend the classes for the moment. It means that all of the an-najah students are not learning at the university just because of these fights… is it worth it???
Why does Hamas feel free to enter into every "quiet" place, and demolish it?
A friend of mine who was there told me it was horrible .It all started when Hamas decided to hand out special leaflets, but the problem was that the university decided because the circumstances, and the happenings in Gaza, that no leaflet what so ever will be distributed inside the area of the university. But the Hamas students cell decided not to consider the request of the university board ... and therefore, the Fateh student cell tried to stop the handing out of this leaflet inside the university campus. From here hell broke loose.
I wonder… Universities are supposed to be places where you come to learn, and therefore they are supposed to be a safe place for us, and not places were one is trying his best to save himself and his friends from bullets flying above the head.
I asked my friend to draw a special caricature in order to show you the way we see this incident in Nablus ..

We feel as if the anarchy in Gaza is penetrating the west bank in a tremendously quick way, we are very disturbed seeing such pictures and fights. My biggest fear is that Hamas will also conquer the west bank, as they have Done in Gaza. And the consequences were not good at all.. we all hope that all will be well here and that the Palestinian peple will be reunited again.
So please, let's keep the anarchy outside the west bank and especially away from Ramallah.

A day of joy???

250 of our brothers will be released tomorrow from the Israeli jail! There is no doubt that tomorrow will be a happy day for the 250 families, who will get their fathers and brothers back to where they should be.. at their homes.

BUT IS IT REALLY A HAPPY DAY ??

Can we forget all the other prisoners? There are still thousands of prisoners in Israeli jails waiting to be released in the same way that these 250 prisoners have been released.
What about them? We should all remember that our efforts to achieve freedom for our prisoners and nation has just started. As you can see at this caricature our leaders don't always put the prisoners issue at the top of the priority list and it is wrong.

I have a relative which has been kidnapped by Israel, and since that moment I haven’t seen him. I feel it is a crime, that a mother can not see her child for more than 6 months! It is absurd…
I wonder how Palestine could have been like, if all our prisoners would have been released.. Maybe someday, Abu Mazen will succeed in bringing all our beloved ones home. I personally believe that Abu Mazen can lead us out of this harsh times and that his way is the right way, but we must help and support him. I just hope that the Israelis see the opportunity and that Hamas will not ruin it again.

There is another issue that we mustn't forget. Our brothers are still stuck outside Gaza, in the Egyptian side of Rafah, it looks as if no one cares about them. its unacceptable that they can't come back to their families through the Rafah crossing but it's also unacceptable that HAMAS is preventing them from coming back through other crossings, because of political reasons.

Shopping in Ramallah

Last week, since Wednesday, something rare has happened in Ramallah- the streets of Ramallah were full of happy people buying gifts, food, clothes and many other goods. It was amazing hearing the word "tfadal" (your welcome) as the answer of parents to their children instead of saying "NO" or "not now".

It wasn't because of a holiday or was it ? WE GOT OUR SALARIES !!!

This scene is not an often one. (I do hope it will become one…) Many months Ramallah's shops haven’t sold so many goods and clothes. It was a real change for me to see so many happy people, because most of the time the shops in Ramallah are empty, and people are not cheerful or happy as they could have been otherwise in different terms.

Is there a way to maintain happiness such as I have witnessed last week? Is there a way to keep us happy in ramallah like we are now? Why people shouldn’t get their salaries on a regular base? Isn't that an elementary thing? State workers should not be afraid of not getting their salaries. It should not be like that. If a person is working, and he has a job he should always get his money. He should feel safe in his work place, and not neglected by the government.

I can surely see a difference, since Salam Fayad was appointed. Scenes such as this one are making me happy, a spark of hope comes to my heart, and it brings me back to hope that Palestine might allow her citizens to live in a dignified way.

I happened to hear a song which is really widespread in Palestine. I got it to my cell phone. This song calls our leaders to finish the crisis.

SO WHAT IS NEXT?

Everyday that passes, I realize more and more how powerful Hamas has become.
Everyday I find myself wondering whether Hamas can stretch his long arms, and get into ramallah like it has got into Gaza.
And sadly I feel as if this day is not far away. I believe that Hamas has enough power to come and change ramallah, like it has already changed Gaza.

I have read that the Palestinian prisoners will eventually get their salaries from the government, as Ashraf Al Ajami has said a few days ago. He also said that the government will keep paying the salaries on time, and that the prisoners are getting a unique status.
And I wonder, how did we get into a situation like this, that we are not dealing with the problem from the bottom, from the root of the problem?
One year passed, and it is time for us to realize that now is our chance, and Now is the right time to bring our prisoners back to our families, now is the most appropriate period.

Aren't we captured by Hamas decisions which acts only for its own interests, and not always for the Palestinian nation's interests?
A year passed, and so far nothing has happened. How many years will we have to wait for our brothers and sisters to return to their homes?
Aren’t we all have a relative, friend, father, or a brother, captured in Israel?

We mustn't think that money or declarations can bring them back home, the solution is not money! The solution is bringing our brothers back home to our families!

Since Gaza became a war zone I feel as if all the boundaries have broken in Palestine. As if everything is allowed..

But have we forgotten that there are boundaries in this world?

And not everything is allowed?

How can Palestinian kill another Palestinian?

Is our goals have changed? Haven't we all hope for the same thing?

To be a responsible big nation? Is it not our goal anymore?

My big fear is that the "war" in Gaza will drip to the west bank, and even to ramallah my city.

I do have hopes that after the sharam summit the future will be much quiter and better..

but hopes and reality not always match…

The Palestinian people are the biggest losers

And I keep wondering.. What do we want to achieve? What reasons can cause such death and anarchy? It looks like we are paying a very high price for nothing..
Does the anarchy in Gaza serves anyone? Or maybe it only serves the radical streams in Gaza such as the Hamas?We are only damage ourselves because of these events..Innocent people are dying, the food in Gaza is running out, and also the gas and patrol are running out.
How can life continue in Gaza after such events? What options have left for the citizens of Gaza? I can't really see how their life can return to normal if there is a lack of food and petrol. How families can survive and enjoy life?
I am really depressed and I can truly say that my hopes are dissolving..
In addition, my friend has drawn another caricature.

Another week finishes and I can mark another week, full of aggression.

As I have already written on my last post about my friend, eventually he sent me some of his caricatures.
He likes to draw caricatures and this one is only one of many caricatures that he has drawn.
I would be very happy to see comments about this caricature.

He is a good artist in my opinion, and I really hope that someday he will be famous!
I really hope that I will manage to add some more caricatures on my next posts.

NAKBA 2007 ?

We, as Palestinians, are situated in a very delicate phase right now.
The last few days, seem to demolish all the good things we tried to build in Palestine,
It seems as if we have forgotten who is our real enemy is.

The Nakba, is our tragedy. Since 1948 we are suffering from that tragedy, since our brothers and families have been forced to leave Palestine.
But this year, the feeling is that we are having a new Nakba..
For a long time the situation and the anarchy in Palestine are not improving and even getting worse...
Sometimes it feels as if we ruined all of our hopes by these fights and anarchy.
What reason do we have to fight between ourselves? It is so brutal seeing brothers fight each other.
We do have options!
We do have hopes we can accomplish!

We should not give the enemy reasons to invade Gaza. There is no reason we should help the enemy by killing our selves! It shouldn’t be like that! We need to be united, and keep the force for one enemy..

I have a friend that likes to draw caricatures, and he asked me to publish some of his works in here.I hope that soon I will add his caricatures in here and maybe my friend will be famous someday because of me?!

Hello everyone,
I want to show you a poster that I have found in the internet, and I really feel it tells our story.Many of my relatives in ramallah lost their jobs!
And have no income! It is not a rare thing to be unemployed in Palestine. Till last year economy was growing in a very slow pace but it was growing…

unfortunately after the Hamas government was elected the Palestinian economy has deteriorated very fast. the result is very clear ... many people in here are unemployed for many months! In the poster that I have put here you can see men who used to work and earn money for their families at home, but now, these men are unemployed, and earn no money.

"The Palestinian workers without work and no income"- this is the phrase that is written on the poster.

PICTURES ON THE WALL

So much is happening in Palestine for the last few weeks, but there are not so many successes..

I heard on news that the minister of the interior, hani alqawasmi already wants to resign the government..

the tahdiya in Gaza is crumbling, there are no indications that our finance minister had really succeeded in breaking the economic siege.

But as I wrote you in my last post, there is a beam of normality
Ramallah's contemporary dance festival has started and I even got a ticket to one of the shows. The performance was by the okhela dance theatre of South Africa. This dance company is concerned with empowering young people through dance and theatre. In the web site of the dance festival it was written that this dance group "uses dance and theatre as a tool to explore ways and means to break down existing barriers".

The performance they put on was by the name – "pictures on the wall". It tells the story of period of the apartheid in South Africa, and that the South African's put the blame of every misfortune or mistake the encounter today on the apartheid shoulders.
The show was very interesting, and I really enjoyed it.It made me think about our own "apartheid and wall".. there is no doubt that the Israeli occupation is the cause for many of our problems, but maybe regarding some of the problems such as the anarchy in our streets, the blame is not only on the occupation.

And we must look into our leaders eyes, and ask them to put aside their own interest, and work together trying to save our Palestine!

A BEAM OF LIGHT

Sariyyat Ramallah Al-Ula announced on Thursday morning that preparations for the Ramallah contemporary dance festival are ready.
It means that a dance festival will be held in ramallah this week (24th April)!! it will last 10 days.The festival will host 51 dancers from several countries (including Brazil, Denmark, South Africa, the United States, Serbia, Portugal, Lebanon, Canada, Spain, Ireland and France).

This is the second festival of its kind, and it will coincide with similar festivals being held in the Lebanese and the Jordanian capitals. It commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. The festival will develop themes, such as lifting the siege of the Palestinian people, and establishing bridges of cooperation between the countries participating in the festival.

The director of the Sariyyat Ramallah group, Isam Rafidi, also announced that the group will honor Palestinian photojournalists, Osama Silwadi and Fadi Al-'Arouri who were both injured in Ramallah. I am happy to know that the photojournalists are important and respected here. It makes me wonder when could I be such a photojournalist!

I expect to see more cultural events such this! And not burning of books like I have witnessed not long ago.. Burning books are not the real essence of Palestine, but culture is the real essence of Palestine!The world needs to know that Palestine can develop great culture.Culture is the real character of Palestine, and i hope it will continue to be shown (and not burning books), in order to get respect from the rest of the world.

Still hoping???

I've heard that Abu Mazen will visit Europe. I don’t really know where exactly he is going to visit, but it doesn’t matter for me at all. His goal in this visit is probably ending the siege, therefore..The only thing that matters for me is that the siege will end while Abu Mazen is in Europe.

I want to believe that Abu Mazen will be able To end the siege or at least ease it. I know and believe that the citizens of Europe cannot understand the consequences of the siege, but we all feel it everyday in every aspect of our life...

I just hope that Abu Mazen will get all the support he needs from the Hamas leadership, but I do know that this is not a very realistic dream, as for Hamas hangs on to is agendas.

Life is hard in Palestine!!
And the funny thing is that last year we were so hopeful when Hamas began to role the government, but only now we really feel the true 'consequences' of this decision of ours..
And by consequences I mean that the siege only brought us:
lack of work,
lack of money,
lack of personal security
and much more lacks!

My cousin's wedding

Hello everyone!
I have missed you all.
I haven’t written for ages, and I really missed it!

In the past few weeks I was very busy. My cousin got married last week! And I was absolutely devoted in helping him with the wedding's preparations.

This cousin is my best friend, he is always there for me when I need him, and I can always consult with him about everything. I am really happy for him, he looked so happy on the wedding, I really missed some happiness in my life.

I felt so happy and full of joy to eventually celebrate a happy and positive event in my family.
I have realized that celebrations such as this one can really unite families although times are hard.

Many guests were invited to the event, and that’s the reason why so many preparations had to be done.
Even my uncle from London has joined the celebration! I was so happy to see him, I haven’t seen him for a long time!

There is one thing that I have realized- and it is the lack of joy and happiness.
Is it only in ramallah that we have no reasons to smile? Or is it a broad problem in the world? Am I the only one who doesn’t have any reasons to smile except of this wedding??

I do realize that the times are hard, but I can remember better days (and not so long ago!). Maybe soon a lot of families in Palestine and in my beloved city will enjoy some happiness after their sons will be released from the Zionist's prison. I just hope that the people who are involved in this issue will make the right decisions!!!

Winds of change !!!!

So….
Finally we have a unity government. We now hope that this new government will bring to end the siege over Palestine. The people in my city are more optimistic but at the same time still pessimistic.

The reason for that is that we see some beams of light through the wall and it comes from the north ( not of Palestine but of Europe). But at the same time the clouds are still above us, as Israel and the US are still talking about continuing the siege and on the other hand Hamas keeps on declaring that it hasn't changed its ways.

So, what does the future hold for us ? will our leaders be able to end the siege ? will Hamas help abu mazen in his efforts to help us ?

There are a lot of open questions to be answered and we all hope that it will be as soon as possible because we cant keep on going this way.

The Week Comes To Its End, And My Mood is Good.
This week I gave a presentation in my class and got a high mark.
Now I read that we are going to have a unity government and this also fills me with optimism.
I hope that the new appointed ministers would be the right people in the right place, and not someone who is not capable of leading his office or helping us.
Nevertheless Hearing khaled mishal in Teheran (why does he go there so often ?) saying that Hamas is the same Hamas as it was before the Mecca agreement makes me wonder about the future of the unity government as well as the possibility of ending the siege.
Me and my friends are waiting to see what will happen in the next few weeks. We are really afraid that if this truce between Fateh and Hamas will fail the future of Palestine is in real danger.

The end of the story - What will be the next step ???

In the last few days, a major issue has happened.
It all started when the Palestinian ministry of education, headed by the so called moderate hamas, decided to remove and burn all copies of the book "speak bird, speak again".
Do you know the reason?
they say it's because the stories contain "filthy expressions"' well I read it and there were no real "filthy expressions".

This book has been published in 1989 by Some Palestinian academics, and it contains 45 Palestinian folktales.The book tells some popular tales which where told in Palestine, it is being narrated by a woman, and it brings stories from the Galilee, the west bank and Gaza.
In my opinion these stories are important for the Palestinian people and for the Palestinian legacy, in order that we shall not forget our past!
The most important thing that unites a nation is its past! And if Palestine will not have folktales then what else will we have??
The big problem that occurred is that our 'beloved' government has decided to burn these books!
How can it be that the government doesn’t want the citizens to read folktales??
It sounds so ABSURD!—but I guess that "absurd" became the second name for our Hamas government...
It's so ironic that the same Hamas party that the Palestinian citizens have elected is the same Hamas party that decides to ruin our culture, and burn our books, and it’s the same government that hurts my freedom of speech.
When someone wants to speak, and use his freedom of speech, he gets hurt (or maybe his 3 children get killed…)What has happened to my beloved Palestine???Palestine is the only place for me to spend my life, I cannot see life in any other place, despite the hard times and the damned Zionists, I still cannot think of any other place as my true home.Hamas is ruining everything that we have been building here for the past few decades. Burning these books remind me that everyday we are getting more and more backwards, instead of getting upwards.
I can't think about a worse future for Palestine then being a twin sister of Afghanistan and Teheran.Yesterday I've heard that Palestine will get more money from the hamas "parents"- Iran.

Is this the future I'd like my children to live in?
In mini Teheran with the ahmadinijad servant prime minister (in the shape of Ismail Haniya??)..

THE SAD STORY OF EMIIGRATION

Today I would like to write about a personal issue which makes me feel sad.
The Hugh amount of Palestinian which emigrate from Ramallah.
The numbers of people which emigrated from the city is enormous and unbelievable and the numbers are rising each day!!
40,000 have emigrated from ramallah and now living in the US, while The population of ramallah toady is only 60,000.
The meaning of these numbers is that almost half of the citizens have left ramallah in the past years.Has ramallah become so unbearable?
And a bigger question must be asked,
Has Palestine stopped being the option for us, Palestinians?
It feels that Palestine stopped being the natural place for us, why is that ? Is it because of the Israeli aggression, the bad economic situation, the hamas extremists. but if Palestine is not the place for Palestinians, Where is the place for Palestinians??
40% of emigration makes me think whether emigration is the solution for us?
I absolutely feel that such a step is the wrong decision. Emigration is not an opportunity for us! We must stay here and fight for our liberation from Israeli occupation and hamas influence.
I think we need to concentrate only on one thing, and that is living.
Living means focusing on life, and not on death, leaving means culture, and learning and acquiring knowledge. Life means being happy, and trying to upraise crisis.
I have family in London, and they have broken the unity of my family. Such an act took me apart from my family, and now if I have the need to visit them Ill need to fly for many hours.The Palestinians which live abroad have become a big community, which operates a broad community life.
I have chatted across the net with some Palestinian friends that live in the US or Europe and they are quite happy.
I will be glad if Palestinian that live abroad will write me and tell me about their life.

I guess it is a significant improvement from the hard fitna days we have been throuh.
Is it because the Mecca agreement that Abbas signed with Mishal and Haniya?!
I guess it is!
I truly feel that this agreement brought some new hopes to the area. It's like a new breeze of hope has entered Palestine.

After the agreement, On Friday, Haniya has resigned himself from the government.
I feel Haniya's resignation is a good sign for us, because now maybe the siege will end?
And maybe now our children will be able to walk without feeling scared?
I hope that the peace will stay in ramallah, and in Gaza, because it's our last chance before a real fitna.

Although I am quite optimistic, I have heard that there are factors in Palestine and outside Palestine which have an interest to ruin the agreement..
I really hope that hamas would not make another mistake and demolish the agreement.

Almost two weeks have past, and things look similar to 14 days ago..
DAMN THE FITNA!
Why brothers need to kill eachother!?
May Abbas succeed in Mecca, may they sign on an agreement to improve things!!
Because we have ended up so bad..
I really hope that a change is close, so things will become much better.

The last few days were horrible.
I haven't thought that things can go so far.
How did we end this way??

Is there something in the water of Gaza that makes my brothers kill each other? I can understand that there is a difference in our believes! But how did we end with 30 Muslims dead !? have we forgotten how precious life is?
I feel absolutely hopeless and helpless, as if there is nothing I can do.
Can anyone stop this violence? People are dying without any reason just because of our hamas government! I feel as if This situation cannot go on! We cannot continue this way.

Watch these poor girls, shouting their anger!

They ask: "why the murder? Why security problems?"
I wish I could do something for my brothers in gaza and help them stop the murder!

Some things are stuck!!!

Good morning everyone,

The traffic jams in ramallah are unbearable, and especially in the square.
This is a result of the many "bastat" (peddlers selling their merchandise on the street) that have opened in the almanara square area.
The new "shops" are located side by side, and they are hiding the true nature of the square!
Because of those small "shops" which are located on the pavements, many people need to walk on the road near the vehicles!
The streets in ramallah need some rebuilding!Because they look so old and cracked..

But not only the traffic is stuck, the political and economical situation is also stuck!!!

And as for my cousin, his condition is getting better! I am so happy that he is ok for now. My family was so worried that he wouldn’t survive, but alhamdu-lillah he is better!

May this week bring only better days!

Depression and death.
Those are the 2 main things that symbolizes the past few days.
I have no words to describe what is going on in almanara square since Thursday.
It is a chaos!

We all want to live in dignity and respect!
I really can't see where we are heading to! We need to be united against the Israeli aggression!
I hope that the Israeli army will stay outside ramallah! One of my cosines have been injured from the Israeli army, I became so depressed because of that.

I visited him twice yesterday, but his condition is still bad.
I hope he will be better and he will heal as soon as possible. 6 people have died from this disastrous incident! These bloody Israelis think they can come whenever they feel like, and destroy everything we have built in here.
I really ask myself where are we heading to? Is 2007 will be good or might it bring more fights and more damage..?
I hope that in 2007 we will be more united, may we all act as brothers (no more fitna incidents!),
2006 only brought damage for us, and it was a harmful year for us! May hamas understand that a fitna incident that occurs in the Palestinian authority is a result of their policy!

I wish that in 2007, we will not see the Israeli worthless army!

الحمد الله

There is a new academy institute in ramallah, the "International Academy of Art in Palestine".
It sounds as if I can really improve my skills out there, and I think ill be more then happy to get some more explanations and lessons about cameras and shooting photos.
I heard that some of the students will get scholarships from the Norway government, these scholarships would help those who have no money for the academy studies, and still, they would be able to learn and have their first degree!
Eventually, Palestine would have many more universities and academic institutes!
ART is my future!
And I really hope I'd be able to apply to some lessons in this fine institute.But the most important thing about this place, is that its the first positive thing that takes place in ramallah upon the last couple of weeks!!!I found a picture that shows the bright side of ramallah, and i'd like you all to see it:

I really wish that in this holiday the streets will be full of cheerful people, who'd have some peace and confidence to walk in the streets all day long, without seeing fitna incidents!
Maybe Hamas people would join this institute, and suddenly they won't be so violent towards the poor people who have no guns??
In the last few days, everyone are speaking about our prisoners!
Maybe they will be free!! I hope so!
This will bring the quietness back into the streets! I really hope that aid aladha will be a quiet one..

Where will it stop ???

The last few nights, some shooting fights took place in my beloved almanara square.It all started while Hamas people wanted to hang some posters in the square. The rumor says that A picture of Haniya was shown on those posters, but I guess that most of us have no desire to see Haniya more then we see him on TV.Why do hamas people are so interested in putting Haniya's pictures?

Do they believe that I will forget the face of the man that helped bringing the anarchy and falatn to all of our cities?I can assure you all, I remember his face, and I also remember the most important thing- things were better before! Its not a dream, because one year ago no one even thought that a horrible murder of 3 young kids would occur! But it has now!

I just hope that those people who took part in the shootings were not the sign that hamas has formed its operational force in ramallah. This force as everyone can see is the main reason for the faltan in Gaza.

By the way, an interesting article in the newspaper that caught my eyes. The article was written by Yihya rabaah, a publicist in "alhayat aljadida" newspaper, and you can see the whole article in here- http://www.alhayat-j.com/details.php?opt=1&id=37255&cid=643

He asked what is the goal of the dialog, if the dialog never succeeds, and we hear from hamas leaders the anarchy will be worse if president Abaas will activate his rightful authorities. He asks what is the anarchy in the street if not fitna!Rabbah asks why is our leaders need to have vacations in hotels and expensive places? Do they try to hide in a safe place while fitna will burn us!?

I don’t feel its right! Haniya shouldn’t be in vacation while we are here having a very hard time, while we are struggling everyday to live with dignity! Haniya should do the most to maintain the quietness in the streets!

WHY CHILDREN HAVE TO PAY ???

I am absolutely shocked, Three young Palestinian kids were killed yesterday morning as a Hamas gunman opened fire on their car as they drove to school in Gaza City.

These three kids are Major Baha'a Balousha kids. He is a Fatah man, and that must be the reason that his 3 kids were shot to death! This shooting occurred while the kids were driving to school on Monday morning.

Their names are- Osama (9 years old), Ahmad (6 years) and Salam (7 years) were killed.

This incident is one of the most serious and furious incidents to have taken place in the last year in Gaza. This is the faltan!!

Hamas has no red lines,Kids are nothing for them! An incident like this incident shows me their real character!

So corrupt and deviant!! How can people even think about Hamas as our leaders ???

As the days go on, I feel more frustrated, and more furious!We really need to go out to the streets and continue saying **no**!

WE CAN SAY NO TO HAMAS !!!

And again,
my hopes have dissolved.
How can I still hope that Haniya will leave the government?
It looks like someone from outside has an interest in keeping Haniya in office.
Soon, I will lose all of my hopes to see changes, and now people are talking once again about fitna and bloodshed in the streets.

Few days ago Haniya has left Gaza, in order to bring money for his people. He fled Gaza minutes before agreeing on forming a unity government.

I am absolutely sure that the money will not be used in a wise way.
I know that the money will arrive only to Hamas people, and the poor kids,
who are not hamas kids, they will stay poor, without books, meals, schools and many more things that should be compulsory!
I know that the money that Qatar will donate for the Palestinian people would only be given to hamas leaders and their families.

And I have only one question to ask - Who will help us ?

Promises…. is hamas leaving?!

Promises promises promises….
Hamas are still giving promises, but no change has been seen. My friends have told me to wait, But I was really looking forward for seeing some changes, but nothing is different.
Hamas still consists to look after their followers and nobody else.
What makes these people so uncaring ?? is it money? Is it prestige?
Why hamas has stooped carrying about us, the civilians?!
Why do they only care about themselves!??!
Only because of the people they got into the government, but we are the first to suffer!!

How can it be!?

I Wonder Why Haniya and Mashal prefer there best as appose to caring for our nation!?
This is twisted!
They should first care about us.
Hamas continues putting obstacles in front of the Palestinian people!
They should leave as soon as possible!
And last thing- I really hope hamas won't import their new force from Gaza, surely they won't be the solution, the solution is much broad, hamas should absolutely leave the government. Still hoping for a better life.

After seeing the horrifying massacre in Beit Hanun, the beginning of the week was more optimistic. May all I wished for will come true.
Since Abu Amar died president Abbas has done many good things, but as long as and his main concern was keeping our people united. And unity is very important in these hard days.

There is only one thing that I feel that I need to shout very loud:
WHERE IS ISMAIL HANIYA?!!?
WHERE IS THE HELPFUL HAMAS?!?!
WHERE ARE THEY NOW!??!?!?

I guess that NO answers will be found.This is absolutely too much for Hamas, why the hell should they bother to take care!? Hamas only cares about hamas supporters!! It makes me so angry,
why poor families and poor widows should not get any money? And any help?Why only 2 years ago life was so different in here!?These questions lead me into one solution.There is only one man that is capable in maintaining the peace among us, that's because I really don’t like seeing violence and fitna.Last week I saw this man donating blood.
He has donated his blood for our poor people that were injured from the Israeli aggression and violence! An act like this really shows me how devoted he is!!The only man I feel could help us in this moment is Abu Mazen, he understands what needs to be done, and what is absolutely bad, and mustn't be done!The financial situation, and the violence in-between us, -these all are a result from the Hamas policy.

This should stop, as soon as we will have a non-hamas prime minister things will be different in many many ways.

I miss Yaser Arafat ?!?!

This post I would like to discuss the problematic leadership of our Palestinian people this days. Our people need, (as any other nation) strong leaders! Leaders are not ordinary people from the street, leaders need to have courage to rule the country, and only real Leaders have the ability to unite the people.

There is one leader (among the LONG years of occupation) that I can remember that actually succeeded in reaching all the different sides, and that was Abu Ammar.Abu Ammar died as a Shahid 2 years ago, and as time passes on a REAL leadership has not been found yet.Not that I saw eye to eye with him about all of his actions, but he had the power to save us from the fire of ourselves, the fire of the fitna!

I am frustrated that we still have not succeeded in improving our lives,HOW CAN IT BE!? After all of these long decades, how can it be that we are still so downward?!

I believe that our nation needs a new leadership, a young one and not the old or people from abroad. We need to stop the fitna, because it doesn’t get any better, our nation is too torn and divided. Only a strong leader that is not from HAMAS can let us out of the armed fitna!! And bring us into a better period.
I miss the good days that our nation wasn't so torn apart to pieces as today,Remember,Leaders can be replaced!

THATS IT-

ramadan month is over, and so is Eid al Fitr.

I have never experienced a gloomy Eid, such as the one that we celebrated the last few days in ramallah.It was horrible to observe the dark side of our reality and of our government. Sometimes, there is a need to let go, its not a shame to say we failed!

The streets of Ramallah are usually become of people every Ramadan, especially upon the evenings, and upon the holiday.

But this year, it was a ramadan that I have never seen.There was no happiness in the streets. Especially at night, when the restaurants are supposed to be full of people. The opposite happened ! most of the people were wandering ramallah streets without an ability to enter a fine restaurant to end the fast.As you know, many of us did not get salary for quite a long time, and that’s the reason for this poor reality.Every Eid, the moment of handing out the gifts is the most happiest moment..But this year........
Many of the people I know had no money to buy any gifts, and if they had, like my family, the gifts were very cheep, and made out of lousy quality (made in china...).
The only places were you could see people gathering around were the bastas (people selling cheep merchandise on the streets).

I got from my beloved parents a new shirt for the holiday, it made me happy because I know it could have been worse.

This was Eid al Fitr 2006.

I choose to show you my dear readers, 2 pictures which describe what is going on in here, and what are the consequences of these incidents!

When 2 sides are pulling into different ways, the only victims in all of these incidents (deaths, demonstrations and strikes) are the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian flag represents in my opinion, the unity of the Palestinians.We should not tear it, and we should not ruin it.Lets change things (for better days to come!!!)

EID AL-FITR

This week is a special week for me and for every Muslim in the world. This week the holy month 'ramadan', the month of Fast, ended. Yesterday 'Eid al-fitr' begun. Every year I look forward to 'Eid al-fitr'. For me, it’s a chance to spend time with my beloved family.

'Eid al-fitr' is a holiday when you take a pause, a "time out" from the hectic days of everyday life in Ramallah.

This year, the holiday takes time in a very sensitive period, which I believe to be one of the hardest in the last few years, concerning the economical situation and the unity of our Palestinian people.

In 'Eid al-fitr' we eat chocolates and halawiyat, and we wear our best cloths in order to celebrate the holiday. This holiday always reminds me the better years, when I was a young child, having no cares at all. I did not have any reasons to demonstrate in the streets, or worrying about the way I'll mange through the year to come in the university.

This is the first 'ramadan' when we had no meat in most of our meals ending the fast, and I even saw some of our neighbors taking food packages from different charity organizations.
The government needs to know the large numbers of people which did not have enough food for the Iftar meal every evening.

How did we end up like this?! I hope that next year we'll have a better Eid al-fitr.

Hello,
The last few days were better.
The reason for this feeling lies in the fact that I have participated in some demonstrations in ramallah.
I decided that if something troubles me, me and my fellow students need to change it. I feel that by demonstrating, maybe something will happen and my family and the Palestinian people would benefit from it.
Many things that a year ago was very basic and easy to find became none exist able today..!

Before 'Hamas' won the elections the situation wasn’t like this!
Since 'hamas' took control over the government, the isolation and siege begun. And it became almost impossible to live in ramallah (in a respectful way….)

Now! , it is time to take part in the demonstrations, and help our nation to make the change!
We are trying to make the government understand that they have to fulfill whatever they promised us. We can make a change!
And now, I have to be with my friends in the square, almanara, and do the right thing for me! Demonstrate.
Those strikes are legitimate!
Palestinians should live in an honorably way! With respect!
Me and my family need to have the basic conditions to live!
And to live like human beings,
And not to be misled by our government every time again and again.
Maybe, when times will be better, I will be back in London, I miss my photography lessons so much! I need to practice all the things I have learned there! Maybe I will start taking pictures of the demonstrations, although this could be quite dangerous.
I would like to buy a new camera, a digital one that will suit me, and help me document my life. And show you my readers how it all looks like in here. But for now I can't afford it.
I just need to wait for better times.

Hard days are going in ramallah, as you all know,
the Palestinian authority is going through very hard time during the last few days. It makes me very frustrated.
The square ((almanara)) is full of armed people..
Many guns, jeeps, shootings..
The demonstrations are more significant, serious and powerful..!
The strength and the power are the most important weapons in the square.
Power is not the solution!

What is going on in here!?!

I ask myself this question everyday.. And I don’t have any answer.. Since I've came back from London, the silence has not returned to Ramallah.. It makes me sad to walk near Almanara-Square, a place that I like so much, And near the main streets, and see so many demonstrations and riots

Is it suppose to be like this!?

Am I not suppose to walk in a quiet street, without demonstrations..?It makes me worried to see it, and to know that it might not change for a long time. Sometimes I ask myself if things can be different, and I know it can be.. Is the new political leadership will stop the riots? Maybe??
Im not so sure about it (as things are moving on..) maybe we are not doing the right step now.

Since I came I witnessed demonstrations almost everyday,
and every night,And im not happy!
Sometimes I remember the days when I saw theater shows,
and movies in the cinema,
and I sat in the square and enjoyed the view…

BATTLE OF SONGS IN RAMALLAH STREETS

An interesting thing is going on in ramallah, and as I read also in other cities in the Palestinian authority.
As you know my readers, I really like art, and even music!Last week, I heard a new song in the streets, and the song was suiting my feelings..!!
The song name is- "where is the salary..?!" (Ween el Rateb Fesh Fesh)I eventually found it also on the internet, in a blog, by the name hatem's diaries. I would be happy if you'll listen to the song, and to its words:

it is a political song, which was written by an unknown person, but I guess it was written by someone who needs his salary. Because he is too hungry and poor to live. The rumor says that it was written by a policeman, and it is being sang by Mustafa el-khatib, a singer from jenin.
The chorus says:"WHERE ARE THE SALARIES!? THERE ARE NO SALARIES!! THERE ARE NO SALARIES!!"

One of the sad words in the song, is when the writer says he wants to buy milk for his daughter but he can not, because he has no money in his pocket.This song became so popular here you can hear it everywhere; in every street, store, and even in taxies!
This song might tell how hard the situation is, considering the leadership that is leading the Palestinian government.I feel this song represents the way we live now in ramallah, because also I haven’t got enough money to by a new camera which I like so much to buy.Not long ago, less then a year, the situation here wasn’t like that at all!The new leadership needs to help us, I want to eat meat, and good food, and enjoy a cultural life, and go to exhibitions, and go to movies, and theater shows.

I want to be happier here,
I AM SICK OF THE SHORTAGE, AND THE POVERTY.
I really believe that things can be better, and things can change!
The most funny thing is that hamas made a different version to this song sang by a band from ramallah, and you can hear it in here..

I agree with what they say, but first we need food and other basic things before!

LEARNING PHOTOGRAPHY IN ENGLAND..!

So long.. So long..!

Last week I have returned from my small vacation.
I am really excited to come back home!!
for the past 6 weeks I have been studying in an amazing place which teaches amateur photographers who want to learn more in photography!!
This place is special.. and I really wanted to stay there for a while.. but it costs so much.
In this long time, I have improved my photographing skills, and it makes me very happy that I did not fly for nothing.Learning new things is always important.Firstly, I want to explain how it all started.. (because also for me it was a surprise! Maybe a very big surprise..)

As you know, I live in ramalla, and before about 8 weeks the war has started between Lebanon and Israel. The Israelis began their aggression, and I knew I had to run away from all of this mess and damage that Israel is about to do in Lebanon, I knew I don’t want to feel the war in my heart, as we are living it day by day. The surprise came from the brother of my father, fadi. Fadi lives in London for many years, and he is in a good position in London, he knows all the places and restaurants, and places where you can learn photography.Fadi booked me a place in a beginner's course, in one of the 'prestige' places.

I hope that I will finish printing my pictures from London, and show you, my readers some of my new skills.

الفن أنواع وأشكال لكل شكل معنى ومغزى.. ولكل فنان أدواته التي يخرج بها مشاعره ويعبر عنها ويوصلها للجمهور باختلاف أنواعه وانتماءاته فالرسام يستخدم ريشته والموسيقي يستخدم آلته الموسيقية والمطرب يستخدم صوته والخطاط يستخدم خطه إلى غير ذلك من أنواع الفنون المختلفة والمتنوعة إلا أن "محمد عبد البر" فنان مختلف في فنه؛ فقد ابتكر فنا جديدا يعتبر أول من أبدع فيه، ويعد رائدا في هذا المجال بدون استثناء.
فـ"محمد عبر البر" حلواني يقوم بصنع الحلويات الشرقية والغربية بكل أشكالها وأنواعها المعروفة، ويقدم لرواد النادي السوري والذي يرأس قسم الحلويات به أشكالا متنوعة ووجبات لذيذة من الحلويات يوميا..
لم يكتف "عبد البر" بصنع الحلويات؛ بل استخدام الحلويات في صنع أشكال أخرى متنوعة يعبر بها عن إحساسه تجاه نفسه ومجتمعه فقد صنع مدفعا ودبابة أثناء حرب العراق رمز بهما إلى الحرب، وتمنى أن تصبح هذه الدبابة حقيقية ليقودها ويدافع بها عن شعب العراق، وصنع شكلا للمسجد الأقصى متمنيا أن يذهب إليه يوما بعد أن يتحرر، ليس هذا فقط بل صنع مدفع السحور في رمضان وفانوس رمضان وخروف العيد وحديقة حيوانات وغيرها من الأشكال الفنية المختلفة.

البداية.. حلواني
يقول محمد عبد البر: لقد جئت من المنوفية في عام 1980 أنا وأخي لنعمل مع مجموعة من الأصدقاء في فندق فلسطين بالإسكندرية، واتجهنا إلى المطبخ وبالذات قسم الحلويات؛ لأن لدينا فكرة عنه إلى حد كبير، ولكني أحببت المهنة جدا، وتمكنت منها بسرعة وعملت في عدة أندية وفنادق متنوعة حتى جئت للنادي السوري في عام 1986، وتدرجت فيه في قسم الحلويات حتى أصبحت مسئولا عنه، ومن حبي للمهنة كنت أقوم باستغلال وقت فراغي في عمل شيء مختلف من التورتات والحلويات، وخاصة أن العمل في نادٍ يختلف عن العمل بالفنادق؛ لأني في الفنادق لا يمكن أن أقدم شيئا مختلفا عن المطلوب، بينما في النادي وخاصة مع مجلس إدارة متفهم يسعدون دائما بكل جديد أقدمه بل على العكس كنت أجد تقديرا وثناء بل مكافآت أحيانا، مما شجعني على الاستمرار.
وكنت دائما أفاجئهم بالجديد في الشكل الذي أقدمه إلى أن جاء عيد ميلاد ابنة عضوة من مجلس الإدارة، وطلبوا مني أن أعمل تورتة خاصة، وفكرت أنني لا بد أن أقدم شيئا مختلفا فقمت بعمل تورتة عبارة عن حجرة أطفال صغيرة بها السرير واحتياجات الطفل بالكامل، وقدمتها وفوجئت برد الفعل الهائل في الحفل وانبهار كل الموجودين بالتورتة المختلفة، ومن يومها بدأت الأفكار تتوالى علي، الأمر الذي جعلني أترك لنفسي لتنفذ ما يأتي على خاطري، فأنا لا أخطط لعمل شيء، وإذا خططت لصنع شيء معين فقد لا أنفذه بحرفية عالية، ولكن أترك ليدي أن تعمل ولفكري أن يفكر، وأنا في معملي الصغير (أقصد مطبخي) داخل النادي؛ ومن ثم أخرج العمل إلى النور بعد طهيه وإخراجه من الفرن، حتى وصلت أعمالي إلى أكثر من 30 عملا.
وعن أهم أعماله يقول "عبد البر": "على ما أتذكر فقد صنعت مرة ثعبانا من العيش والسكر، وأقفاصا للحيوانات ومركبا والكعبة المشرفة وكوبري إستانلي من معالم الإسكندرية ومكتبة الإسكندرية والجامع ومسجد الأقصى والفانوس والدبابة وغيرها كثير، ويقوم النادي غالبا بعرض هذه الأعمال بشكل دعائي في أي احتفال بجانب البوفيه المفتوح، ودائما ما نجد الضيوف منجذبين إلى العمل، ويقفون بجانبه تاركين الطعام ليشاهدوا ويتأملوا صنع يدي"، ويضيف أعتبر ما أقوم به موهبة من الله سبحانه وتعالى وهواية أحبها وأعشقها لدرجة أنني لا أمل من العمل أبدا، ونادرا ما أحصل على إجازة، حتى إنني لم أفكر في الزواج حتى الآن؛ لأنني لا أخرج من معملي (أقصد مطبخي) بالنادي إلا نادرا، وكل ما أتمناه أن يأتي يوم وأقدم أعمالي في معرض خاص ليراه عدد أكبر من الناس مثلي مثل كل الفنانين التشكيليين، فرغم أنني غير حاصل على مؤهل عالٍ مثلهم فإنني أقدم فنا مثل ما يقدمون هم أيضا، وأعتقد أن الفنون موهبة قبل أن تكون تعليما، وأنا لدي هذه الموهبة، وهي نعمة من الله سبحانه وتعالى.

The Ashtar Theater is a new place I would like to visit once in a while; I am happy that there’s a new show here in Ramallah!The show was promoted in the media (in many newspapers and advertisements!!) but I didn’t notice it!! :( The show was produced in association with the French council.It sounds like a really good show! All over the world the “world cup” games were screened in restaurants and coffee shops.
But in ramallah, I didn’t see any place that screens the world cup games, and I’m sure it can improve our mood!! To have a good time, and enjoy life for one evening!!! To be with hundreds of soccer fans! I have seen some advertisements for such evening, about the game of Germany and Italy..
maybe?? did somone hear about it??

(But I’m not sure I should go after the goal that klose goaled in the last game of Germany.. he is too good!!!!)

بداية اللوحة جميلة جدًا خاصة مع عمر الفنانة الصغيرة ..
ويبدو لي أن اللوحة على الأغلب منقولة من صورة ..أتمنى لك يا أميرة التوفيق ونحن في انتظار تقديم المزيد…
أبدأ أولا بالخطوط الجميلة والمنحنية في اللوحة والحركة الرشيقة فقد تمكنت أميرة رغم عمرها الصغير من رسم الفتاة بشكل متقن، ولم تنس إظهار التفاصيل الصغيرة خاصة في الأكمام .. مما يدل على وجود الطابع الزخرفي عندها وهذا مما يميز رسم البنات بصفة عامة، ويدل أيضا على العين اللاقطة التي تمتلك رؤية خاصة مميزة.
أما ألوان اللوحة التي زادت جمالاً للخطوط والحركة فهي ألوان جميلة منسجمة ومدروسة أيضا: الأحمر مع الأخضر في القسم العلوي، الأصفر والبرتقالي في القسم السفلي.
وجاء التركيز اللوني على الفتاة أكثر من الخلفية لأنها العنصر المهم في اللوحة، وكذلك حتى تخلق التباين الذي يؤدي إلى شد انتباه المتلقي . . وأنا أقترح عليك أن تجربي نوعيات مختلفة من الألوان.
شملت اللوحة عددا من العناصر الثانوية التي عمقت الإحساس بالريف والأصالة مثل الجرة والعامود والشجرة في الخلفية ورسم هذه العناصر جاء متقنا حيث ساعد على إبراز العنصر الأساسي وهو الفتاة وأعطى جوا عاما باللوحة من الهدوء والبساطة.

That’s why im very enthusiastic about that world cup.
The end of the world cup is coming quite soon! And my favorite team is playing, so im very happy!
I hope that Argentina will make it and defeat the German team! But, Im afraid that the home advantage will make the Germans win!

The assembly dealt on the ways to improve and stabilize a culture for the palastinin nation, and I really hope that assemblies like this one will continue to take place and help our society. And as for my opinion, (you readers know me..! I like art, films and theater shows!!) the situation here in ramallah, is very hard, and if we will visit more and more cultural events our life will become better and easier! And we would be able to live our lives on the way we had long time ago….

The opening of the exhibition of woman who create art was on the 14th of June. The exhibition appears to be very interesting, and that’s because the art works are made out by woman only! The Prime Minister mahmood abbas and the former minister for woman affairs have attended the opening ceremony.
In the ceremony a short film was displayed, and a fashion show was presented.
I see in these steps a new beginning for our nation.
We have hope for a bright future!!!

عشرات المواطنين يعتصمون في رام الله ضد ظاهرة الفلتان الامني

رام الله -معا- تحت شعار "فلسطين للجميع.. ورام الله للجميع"، نظم العشرات من المواطنين في ساحة دوار المنارة في مدينة رام الله اليوم اعتصاماً جماهيرياً ضد ظاهرة الفلتان الأمني، واحتجاجاً على الاعتداءات التي تعرضت لها المرافق العامة والخاصة في المدينة عقب مقتل شاب برصاص أفراد الأجهزة الأمنية يوم الثلاثاء الماضي.وشارك في الاعتصام مدراء وموظفي بلديات رام الله والبيرة وبيتونيا، وممثلين عن القوى الوطنية والإسلامية، إضافة إلى فعاليات ومؤسسات شعبية، طالبوا جميعا أن توفر الأجهزة الأمنية الحماية لهم ولممتلكاتهم على مدار الساعة.وطالبت رئيسة بلدية رام الله، جانيت ميخائيل،في بيان تلته الرئيس محمود عباس أن يتحمل مسؤولية توفير الأمن والأمان للمواطنين، ومحاسبة كل العابثين بأمن المواطن. ودان البيان كل اشكال الفلتان الأمني والاعتداء على الأملاك العامة والخاصة وأية محاولة لاستغلال أي حدث لإظهار الشعب الفلسطيني بمظهر غير حضاري يمس بقيمه وأخلاقه. من جهته طالب رئيس بلدية البيرة عمر حمايل، الجميع بالوقوف وقفة رجل واحد في مواجهة ظاهرة الاعتداءات المتكررة على الممتلكات، وحالة الفوضى المنتشرة والاستهتار بالمؤسسات الفلسطينية .وتساءل حمايل لمصلحة من يهدر الأمن العام وتتواصل الاعتداءات، مطالبا أن يكون القانون هو الحكم وسيد الموقف.بدوره دعا القائم بأعمال محافظ رام الله والبيرة صائب نصار، الأجهزة الأمنية إلى تكثيف دورياتها وحراستها للمطاعم والفنادق من اجل توفير الأمن والأمان.كما طالب نصار بتعويض المتضررين من تلك الاعتداءات ماليا، مؤكدا أن الجميع سيعمل على عدم تكرار ما حصل.في المقابل تمنى محمد حمدان مدير مطعم "ستونز"، أن تتحول هذه الأقوال إلى أفعال، مؤكدا انه لم يتم تعويضهم حتى الآن عن الخسائر التي تعرض لها المطعم نتيجة لتكرار هذه الاعتداءات.وأشار حمدان في مقابلة مع "معا " أن الموضوع يتجاوز الاعتداء على مطاعم، مشيراً الى انه موضوع امني حيث لم يتم معاقبة المتورطين في السابق، مقدماً شكره للبلديات و المحافظة على الخطوة التي قاموا بها، راجيا أن لا تكرر هذه الأحداث.

طالبت دائرة المرئي والمسموع في وزارة الإعلام الفلسطينية المحطات التلفزيونية المنتشرة فى محافظات
فلسطين الشمالية والجنوبية وقف بث مباريات كأس العالم فوراً، جاء ذلك فى بيان تم توجيه لجميع المحطات
المحلية من وزارة الاعلام التى هددت فى بيانها جميع وسائل الاعلام المرئية بأنها ستكون تحت طائلة
المسئولية القانونية مشددة على وجوب عدم نقل المباريات ومنوه بأن حقوق البث الحصرية تعود لشبكة
راديو وتلفزيون العرب ART.
تأتى خطوة وزارة الاعلام الفلسطينية بعد يوم من نشر شركة راديو وتلفزيون العرب " art "
إعلان في الصفحة الأولى من الصحف المحلية ( القدس – الأيام – الحياة ) حذرت فيه القنوات
المحلية من نقل وبث مباريات كأس العالم وجاء في الإعلان مايلى :
تحذر قنوات راديو وتلفزيون العرب " art " أي جهة كانت من نقل بث أو إعادة بث قنواتها
المختلفة وتحديدا الرياضية منها خاصة كأس العالم وتعلن إنها الجهة الوحيدة المخولة بنقل مباريات كأس
العالم حصرياً للعالم العربي وإنها لم تعط إيه جهة كانت حقوق النقل وسوف تقوم بالملاحقة القضائية
والقانونية محليا ودولياً لكل من يقوم بإعادة بث أو استخدام حقوقها الحصرية سواء بالبث أو بالإعلان أو
البث في الأماكن العامة.

«شهر الثقافة والكتاب العربي» مهرجان تحييه مدينة حيفا، وقد افتتح بأمسية خاصة بالذكرى السنوية العاشرة لرحيل الأديب الفلسطيني إميل حبيبي.
وألقى مدير عام مؤسسة «بيت الكرمة» (منظِّمة المهرجان) مردخاي بيري كلمة تحدث فيها عن «العملاق إميل حبيبي، الذي كان له ولأدباء وفنانين مثل سميح القاسم ومحمود درويش وعبد عابدي اسهام كبير في الحراك الثقافي العربي في المدينة»، مشيراً الى ان الجزء الأكبر من هذا الحراك كانت بوتقته صحيفة «الاتحاد»، التي شغل الراحل رئاسة تحريرها حتى العام 1989. وألقى رئيس بلدية حيفا، المحامي يونا ياهف، كلمة قال فيها ان العمل جارٍ على تنفيذ قرار البلدية تخليد ذكرى حبيبي، من خلال اطلاق اسمه على أحد شوارع المدينة في صورة تليق به.
ثم كانت مداخلة للباحث رمزي سليمان، رئيس قسم علم النفس في جامعة حيفا، وعضو هيئة تحرير فصلية «مشارف» الثقافية، التي كان أسسها الراحل قبيل وفاته، وهي بعنوان «عن المتشائل وأولاده وأحفاده».
وعرض الفيلم السينمائي «من يوم ما رحت»، الذي يروي فيه مخرجه محمد بكري للراحل ما حصل في الأعوام العشرة التي مضت منذ وفاته.
وتصدر قريباً في سبعة أجزاء الأعمال الأدبية الكاملة للروائي الراحل، عن «دار عربسك للنشر» (حيفا)، صاحبة الحقوق الحصرية ومديرة تراث إميل حبيبي المسجلة قانونياً، وهي الاصدار الأول في سلسلة «الآثار الكاملة» للراحل.
وتصدر الأعمال نفسها، في طبعة فلسطينية عربية عالمية، بالتعاون بين «دار الشروق» و «دار عربسك للنشر»، وتنطلق من بيروت وعمان ورام الله.

"كأس العالم إن شاء الله" فيلم يتتبع مسيرة المنتخب الفلسطيني لكرة القدم

نشرت "البي بي سي" تقريرا تحدق خلاله عن فيلم "كأس العالم إن شاء الله" والذي يروي مصاعب تشكيل وتدريب المنتخب الفلسطيني لكرة القدم، وقد عرض للمرة الأولى في بريطانيا يوم الخميس.
وقال التقرير أن ومن بين كل الفرق التي واجهها في التصفيات لنهائيات كأس العالم التي تجري في المانيا، والتي فشل المنتخب الفلسطيني في تخطيها، بدا ان هذا الفريق يعاني من مشاكل طابعها خاص جدا، مقارنة بما تواجهه الفرق الأخرى من عقبات في التصفيات للمباريات الدولية.
يتألف المنتخب الفلسطيني من لاعبين نشأوا في أماكن مختلفة، فمنهم من الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، وآخرون من لبنان أو الكويت أو حتى تشيلي أو الولايات المتحدة.
ولم يعترف الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) بالمنتخب الفلسطيني إلا في عام 1996، ومنذ ذلك الحين، لم ينجح المنتخب في التأهل لأي مباريات دولية ذات قيمة.
مخرجة فلسطينية-لبنانية
وتقول مايا صنبر التي أنتجت الفيلم برفقة زوجها جفري ساوندرز للبي بي سي ان "الرياضة هي المجال الوحيد الذي يمكن فيه التطرق إلى فلسطين كدولة"، مضيفة ان " كرة القدم والألعاب الاولمبية هما من المجالات القليلة جدا التي ترد فيها رسميا كلمة فلسطين، التي لا ترد حتى في الأمم المتحدة إذ تستعمل المنظمة الدولية عبارة السلطة الفلسطينية".
صنبر، اللبنانية-الفلسطينية، اختارت ان تتبع المنتخب الفلسطيني بهدف "رواية قصة هذا الفريق، ولإظهار التنوع الموجود داخل الفريق الفلسطيني الواحد في محاولة لكسر ما يعرف بالنماذج المقولبة".
واستوحت صنبر فكرة فيلمها من برنامج تلفزيوني بثته قناة بي بي سي الثانية على حلقات تبعت فيها مسيرات منتخبات البلاد التي تعاني من نزاعات وتجهد على الرغم من كل شيء إلى خوض التصفيات التي تخولها اللعب في نهائيات كأس العالم.
وبعد ان شاهدت البرنامج، عرضت صنبر على بي بي سي فكرة إنتاج حلقة تتبع خلالها مسيرة المنتخب الفلسطيني.
إلا ان القصة لم تنته عند هذا الحد، لأنها حين انتهت من تصوير الحلقة، أرادت المخرجة ان تعرف المزيد وان تجيب على المزيد من التساؤلات.
وتقول صنبر أنها "أرادت ان تذهب إلى عمق الأمور والتعرف أكثر على شخصيات الرياضيين الذين يؤلفون المنتخب، لذلك قررت ان تقضي المزيد من الوقت معهم وان تتعرف إلى مختلف جوانب حياتهم، ومن خلال ذلك ان تروي قصة الفريق الفلسطيني".
وأملت صنبر في البداية "ان يكون الفيلم بعيدا عن السياسة، إلا أنها عادت واستنتجت ان السياسة تفرض نفسها حين يتعلق الأمر بأي شيء يتعلق بالفلسطينيين"، مشيرة إلى ان "انجاز أي عمل يتعلق بفلسطين أو الفلسطينيين يفرض حتما بعدا سياسيا في طريقة ما".
والسياسة تفرض نفسها
من جهته، يقول اللاعب الفلسطيني-الأمريكي مراد فريد ان "التركيز على كرة القدم بحد ذاتها أمر شبه مستحيل بسبب كل ما يجري على الساحة الفلسطينية بشكل دائم" .
وبالنسبة لفريد، فان اللعب مع المنتخب الفلسطيني يسمح له بان يعيش الثقافة الفلسطينية التي لا يعرفها إلا من خلال ما روى له أهله.
بالنسبة للاعبين آخرين من الأراضي الفلسطينية أو من اللاجئين في لبنان، فان الوضع يختلف إذ يرون في هذه المشاركة مجالا يسمح لهم بخوض تحدياتهم بطريقة جديدة.
الفيلم ليس عاطفيا، فهو ينقل واقع تحضيرات المنتخب الفلسطيني لتصفيات "المونديال"، ولكن واقع الحال فرض على هذا الفيلم ان يلامس "نزعة فكاهية" بسبب كل العقبات التي واجهها المنتخب وسوء الحظ الذي نتج عن هذه العقبات.
ومثالا على ذلك ان اللاعبين في غزة كان عليهم الانتظار لمدة أسابيع لكي تعيد إسرائيل فتح معبر رفح لكي يتمكنوا من الالتحاق بزملائهم في مصر، ما اجبر الفريق على إلغاء معسكر تدريب كان قد تقرر له في المجر.
ويروي الفيلم كيف لعب المنتخب المباراة المهمة والحاسمة له في التصفيات، والتي كان من المقرر ان يستضيفها على أرضه وأمام جمهوره، في قطر ودون جمهور.
ولكي تكتمل الصورة، جاءت مآسي النزاع الإسرائيلي-الفلسطيني ترخي بظلالها على هذه المباراة إذ عرف اللاعبون الآتون من قطاع غزة ان خمسة من أصدقائهم قتلوا في الصباح ذاته خلال ضربة جوية إسرائيلية.
وبالنسبة للبعض، كان لهذه الأمور ارتدادات صحية إذ أصيب المدير اللوجستي للفريق، فارس أبو شاويش، بنوبة قلبية وسط فترة التصفيات، وتصوير الفيلم، ومكوثه في المستشفى خلال كل الفترة المتبقية.
وقال النائب العام للفيفا جيروم شامباني حين قرر رفض تأجيل المباراة الأساسية التي يخوضها المنتخب الفلسطيني ان "كرة القدم لا تستطيع ان تكون أسرع من السياسة".
وعلى الرغم من كل ذلك، فان المصاعب التي واجهها المنتخب ساهمت في تطوير جو التلاحم داخل الفريق.
وبينما تطلق صنبر فيلمها في لندن، فان مدينة نيو اورلينز الامريكية ستشهد بث نسخة أخرى عن الفيلم بعنوان "الحلم بالهدف"، الذي تقرر أيضا ان يبث تزامنا على الجدار الذي أنشأته إسرائيل لفصل القدس الشرقية عن الضفة الغربية.
هذا وقد نجحت صنبر في الحصول على وعود بان يبث فيلمها على محطات تلفزة فرنسية وأمريكية والمانية، كما هي تفاوض حاليا إحدى المحطات الكبرى لبث إنتاجها في بريطانيا.
وفي انطباعها الأخير على الفيلم قالت صنبر: "بالنسبة لي، كانت لي مناسبة لأتعرف على الطريقة التي يعيش بها أفراد المنتخب، وكانت هذه التجربة فعلا رحلة استكشاف".

زيت وزعتر من نوع آخر

رام الله- معا - نجح مطعم "زيت و زعتر"، اليوم، بتسجيل اسمه في موسوعة غينيس للأرقام القياسية، وذلك بعد أن تمكن من صنع اكبر صحن تبولة في العالم.
وأقيم احتفال بالمناسبة تحت عنوان "عصرة ليمون ونقطة زيت، من خير بلادي بطعمي ولادي" في قاعة مدرسة الفرندز للبنين في مدينة البيرة، بحضور رئيسة بلدية رام الله جانيت ميخائيل ووزير الاقتصاد السابق مازن سنقرط والنائب سلام فياض، إضافة الى المئات من المشاركين والحضور.
ويبلغ قطر الصحن الذي وضعت فيه التبولة 4 أمتار، ويتسع لـ 1000 كيلوغرام من التبولة بحيث تكفي الكمية لإطعام 3 آلاف شخص.
وشارك في إعداده 17 طاهيا استخدموا لهذا الغرض 2000ربطة بقدونس، و 300 ربطة نعناع، و 100 كيلو غرام ليمون، و 70 كيلو غرام بصل اخضر، و150 كيلو غرام بندورة، إضافة الى 70 خسة و 70 كيلو غرام من البرغل و 3 كيلو غرام من الملح ونصف الكيلو من جوزة الطيب و 35 لتر من زيت الزيتون.
وساهم في تحقيق هذا الإنجاز الفلسطيني جمعية الشابات المسيحية، والشركة الوطنية للصناعات الزراعية – زيت، ومؤسسة الناشر
وبجو من الحماس والتعاون تم ظهر اليوم في مدينة رام الله تحضير اكبر طبق من التبوله في فلسطين والعالم، الحدث جرى بالتعاون مع بلدية رام الله ومطعم "زيت وزعتر" جاءت فكرة الحدث لدعم الشعب الفلسطيني معنويا في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها فمن خلال هذا الحدث عبر بعض الاسرى المحررين الذين شاركوا في تحضير الطبق عن رغبتهم في المواصله قدما.
وحضر الحدث العديد من فئات المجتمع الفلسطيني الذي احب الفكرة وجاء يترقب لحظه رفع الستار عن اضخم طبق تبولة في العالم، ولحضور اللحظة التي تدخل فيها فلسطين كتاب غينس للارقام القياسية فتشجعا من شعبها توضع فلسطين على خارطه الدول التي احرزت ارقاما قياسية في العالم لتثبت للعالم قوتها واصرارها على الصمود على الرغم من قسوه الاحتلال الواقع عليها فها هي اليوم تشغل الاعلام العربي والعالمي بحدث قياسي كاسره قاعدة الاحداث السياسيه اليوميه .
ففي حديث مع رئيسة بلدية رام الله جانيت خوري حدثتنا عن هذا الانجاز الفلسطيني : " انه يوم عظيم في تاريخ الشعب الفلسطيني بالرغم من كل الظروف الصعبه التي يمر بها الا ان لدى هذا الشعب متسع ورغبه لتخطى الازمات والدخول الى قلوب العالم من خلال اكبر صحن تبوله " .
وأضافت خوري: "عملت بلديه رام الله على تنسيق الحدث ورعايته فكان ما نرمي اليه هو الترفيه والترويح عن المواطن واعطاءه المعلومات اللازمه عن ما يحدث في العالم من اشياء غير سياسيه لان هذه الامور مجتمعيه يجب فهمها اكثر " .
وفي حديث مع احد الاسرى المحررين من الذين شاركوا في تحضير التبوله حيث اضاف الاسير المحرر حسن كراجه :" هذا الحدث تم برعاية تأهيل الاسرى ايضا فهذا الانجاز جاء لكسر جميع الحواجز بدخول كتاب غينس للارقام القياسيه نحن نعبر عن الرأي للعالم لان الشعب الفلسطيني شعب يريد السلام ويريد العيش بحريه غير اني اهدى هذا الانجاز للاخوه الاسرى في سجون الاحتلال .
واضافت السيده نهايه ابو خاطر : "جئت لحضور هذا الحدث ولتذوق طعم تبولة بلادى خطوه جميله وخصوصا في ظل الظروف الحاليه وهذا يؤكد بان شعبنا عنده رغبة العيش غير انه يؤثر على نفسيتنا ونعيش مثل باقي البشر ".
بالزغاريت والاغاني الفلسطينيه الشعبيه اسل الستار عن طبق التبوله الاضخم والاكبر في العالمي لتثبت فلسطين انها هي الثقافه والحضاره.

فيلم من إنتاج مركز يافا الثقافي يحصل على المركز الأول في مهرجان شيكاغو فلسطين للأفلام السينمائية

عاد وفد مركز يافا الثقافي امس بعد رحلة استمرت أسبوعين في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تم خلالها عرض فيلم "حلم نور" وفيلم "شاهد عيان على النكبة"

وتم عرض الفيلمين في عدة ولايات وجامعات ومدن أمريكية منها جامعة هارفارد في مدينة بوسطن ومدينة نيويورك ومدينة نيوجرسي ومدينة نيو اورليانز وبلدة بارد ومينيابولس، وفي جمعية ليفتا بمدينة شيكاغو وذلك بالتعاون مع جمعية نابلس وهي جمعية مؤلفة من أهالي مدينة نابلس المقيمين في شيكاغو.

وعُرض فيلم "حلم نور" في مهرجان شيكاغو فلسطين للأفلام السينمائية بحضور أكثر من 300 شخص، وبعد العرض تمت مناقشة الفيلم وشرح عن الإمكانيات البسيطة لعمل الأفلام في مخيم بلاطة، وكان رأي النقاد بأن الفيلم على مستوى عال رغم قلة الإمكانيات، وقد نال الفيلم مركز أفضل فيلم في المهرجان.

وقال مدير المهرجان إن فيلم "حلم نور" كان من الأفلام الجميلة التي تم عرضها برغم الصعوبات والمعوقات التي واجهت عمل هذا الفيلم.

وعلى هامش الزيارة شارك الوفد في مؤتمر عقد في جامعة شيفيلد بمدينة شيكاغو حول قضية الأسرى في فلسطين وايرلندا، وتحدث المشاركون عن معاناة الأسرى كلٌ في بلده، وتحدثت ميسون سعيد عن تجربة الأسيرات في فلسطين، وتحدث محمد حامد عن معتقلي مركز يافا الثقافي وخاصة حسام خضر وناصر عويص ومحمد سميح، واشار الى المعاناة التي يمر بها الأسرى أثناء التحقيق وفي السجون الإسرائيلية.

يذكر ان فيلم "حلم نور" من انتاج واعداد مركز يافا الثقافي، باشراف احمد الزيات واحمد المصري وميسون سعيد، واخراج الفنانان والمخرجان محمد حامد ومحمد ابو عزيزة.
